Seattle, April 6, 2015: The April 2015 edition of Tasting Panel Magazine is out, and Batch 206 Distillery is thrilled to announce that Counter Gin scored 93 points, rated “Outstanding” by James Beard Award winning reviewer Anthony Dias Blue.
Counter Gin is described as having “Juniper and spice nose; creamy texture and lush, aromatic style; very smooth with balanced, rich flavors; long and generous with notes of cucumber, lavender and citrus.”
Counter Gin has been on a nice roll lately, being named “One of 11 must try American Gins” by Wine Enthusiast in July 2014 and now scoring 93 points from Tasting Panel. The Barrel Aged ‘Old Tom’ version of Counter Gin also just won a Gold Medal at the 2015 American Craft Spirits Association conference. which is the largest gathering of Craft Distillers in America.

True to its name, Counter Gin leaves a stylistic impression that runs counter to typical London Dry gin. The integration of Bulgarian juniper, English cucumber, Seville orange peel, Meyer lemon peel, along with tarragon, verbena and lavender from Provence, perfectly harmonize within a finely balanced New American-style gin.
